Abstract

The main objective of this research is to understand the perception, intention, and entrepreneurial attitude of students at the University of Sonsonate. It also aims to characterize the types of entrepreneurship, identify the business ideas held by potential entrepreneurs, explore their perception of the entrepreneurial social environment, and determine some of their personal characteristics. To collect field data, a self-administered survey was conducted with 380 students. The main findings reveal that a significant number of students already run a business—mostly in the commercial sector—and a considerable percentage hold a favorable perception of the entrepreneurial social environment, among other insights.
